Tick Tock Goes the ClockWhat mysteries does the mind hide behind its madness?  
 
Ticking like a grandfather clock, sounding on cue.  
So complex, With an infinate number of gears turning on one another.  But it's still so hopelessly dependant that it all stops if one does.  
And yet most people only see the simplicity of it.  They glance at the face of it, where the surface lies and think they know about it.  Like glancing at water and saying whats beneath it.  They do not know what is beneath it.  
 
What if it changed?  So quickly, so quietly, no one knew?  What if the clock had no numbers?

ClutchYou sit there at the intersection, staring at the red light. The engine growls impatiently, eagerly anticipating the coming onslaught. Depressing the gas, you feed the engine rations, just enough to keep it going. As you grip the wheel tighter, you stare out into the night, waiting for your cue. Then it comes, Green. It cuts the chains that bind the wheels, and the car launches. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, all of them sing the sweet song of the horses, and you let it echo into the deepest, darkest recesses of your soul. You let the pumping of the pistons match your heartbeat, and the spinning wheels caress your skin, giving goosebumps. As you fly on stain Clutch

Rules of Rant-GagementOkay, I've had this problem many a time with my Rants. Time for some rules of engagement.   
1. Don't make a fool of yourself.   
 I've had a few people come at me with "You don't know what you're talking about", then I get a mouthful of facts. My rants aren't based off of technical facts or any of that mumbo-jumbo, they are purely MY OPINION. And if you know me, I usually don't know what i'm talking about.   
2. Just for fun   
I don't mean any harm/offence by any of thee rants, they're just for a little fun. Not just for me, but for you, the reader as well.  
 
3. If you can't beat 'em. Rules of Rant-Gagement

I'd like to give my opinion, if I may.   
I don't think that the hippies realized just how important, and involuntary it is.  
 
Many a millenia ago, when God was building us, or when Pandora's box was opened, or even when we were little amoeba's just floating in the gene pool (depending on what you believe), we developed what is know as self-consiousness, Or an 'Ego'.  
 
From this was spewed Anger, Doubt, Revenge, and a insatiable craving for dominance.  
 
When we feel bad about ourselves, we seek to change it, right? If you feel fat, you try A Ra-Er, "Opinion" On War

As I am sitting here working on the first new chapter of Smoke and Blades, and I have discovered extremly useful things from a sigularitly unexpected origin! what's big, over 1000 pages strong, and is involved in almost every religion on the planet?

The Holy Bible

Now before everyone goes ape-shit, i'm not going churchy with my story. it's still gonna be as blood-ridden, curse filled, violently good as ever. I was just thinking of using a verse at the beginning or end of each chapter, as kind of an added effect.
